Roads closed in Casselton as firefighters respond to house fire

CASSELTON, N.D. — The Cass County Sheriff's Office says a morning house fire in Casselton destroyed a home on the 400 block of Langer Avenue.

Firefighters were called to a house that was fully engulfed shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21.

During the fire, the intersections of Third Street South and Fourth Street South at Langer Avenue were temporarily closed.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire, as the owner lives in Fargo.

No other structures were damaged.

A call for mutual aid was requested from firefighters in Mapleton.

The Casselton Fire Department is investigating a cause.
