Here is what’s to blame for Staten Island crashes that resulted in injuries

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Just four months into the year, distracted driving is already taking a toll on Staten Island, causing dozens of crashes that left more than 50 people injured in their wake.

The NYPD records and posts on the city’s open data website all traffic collisions reported to police, including information on how many people were injured, and the contributing factors identified for each incident.
