Ontario Provincial Police say a 59-year-old Toronto man has been arrested in a road rage investigation after five people, including three children, were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 401.
The collision happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday in the eastbound collector lanes near Leslie Street.
Toronto paramedics said one child under the age of two was rushed to a trauma centre in serious condition and two other children were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Sgt. Kerry Schmidt identified the youngest child hurt as a 17-month-old who remains in critical condition.
Authorities said two adults, women in their 50s and 60s, were also transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Police announced on Tuesday the man is facing dangerous driving-related charges. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
“There’s no place for road rage anywhere in our society or on our highways,” Schmidt said on Twitter Tuesday evening, adding further details will be released on Wednesday.
