Obituary: Esther A. Wadas

Esther A. Wadas passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at her daughter's residence in Joliet with her family by her side.

Esther A. Wadas passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at her daughter's residence in Joliet with her family by her side. Born in Chicago to the late Vito and Jennie Pesola, She was originally from North Riverside and spent the majority of her life in Cicero, and eventually moved to Frankfort. Esther was a graduate of Robert Morris College and worked in the accounting department of several different companies, including Allied Van Lines, Montgomery Wards, William A. Lewis, and CompuSystems, but she also enjoyed her time working as a cocktail waitress at the local Moose Lodge. Esther had a passion for music and dancing and all things Disney, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Esther is survived by her 4 children, Christine (Nancy McMahon) Guhl, Deborah (Polo Carrillo) Keeton, William (Sylvia) Wadas, and Louis Wadas; her 6 grandchildren Jessica (Luke) Hall, Katie Guhl, Elizabeth (Jacob) Briggs, Jeremy (Jazzmyn) Keeton, Samantha Wadas, and Victoria Wadas; her 8 great-grandchildren, Jasper, Kaiser, Brianna, Thalia, Maci, Gianna, Harper and Floyd; and her brother Michael Pesola. She is also survived by her former Son-in Laws Theodore Guhl and Jerry Keeton, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Wadas; and her parents.

As it was her final wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration of Life for Esther Wadas will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road at Essington Road, Joliet.
