All-time leading scorer

Nakye Sanders is Tottenville's all-time leading scorer with 1,513 points, which is currently eighth on Staten Island's career list. The big man was a four-year varsity player who earned Advance All-Star status his final two seasons. (Staten Island Advance)

Many players have donned the purple and white uniforms of Tottenville boys’ varsity basketball teams through the years and naturally, the Pirates have had their share of accolades along the way.

Tottenville’s one and only Jaques Award winner is the late Billy Grimes, who earned the honor after averaging a whopping 24.7 points per game his senior year during the 1967-68 season. Grimes wound up getting a full scholarship to the University of South Carollna.
