PLAINFIELD, IL —The Animal Care Center of Plainfield will be one of six animal hospitals featured on Nat Geo WILD's new series, "Animal ER Live" as it debuts March 30, according to the facility.

The Plainfield veterinary center made the announcement late last month on Facebook: "Animal Care Center of Plainfield has been chosen as one of 6 hospitals across the country to be featured in a new show, Animal ER Live! Follow as emergencies unfold in real time! Animal ER live premieres on Nat Geo Wild on Saturday, March 30 from 8-10 PM."

Nat Geo WILD announced the show in February, calling the show "a new live event series from the creators of 'Live PD' ... following real, exciting and dramatic behind-the-scenes stories of urgent animal cases at six of the top animal hospitals across the country in real time." Nat Geo WILD describes the show this way:

Capturing the fast-paced drama and intensity of a hospital procedural mixed with the unbreakable bonds between pets and their owners, cameras will follow a wide range of touching cases in emergency rooms and waiting rooms, and also accompany on-call vets to homes and farms to treat animals that are too sick or too big to travel. A studio-based team will provide insight and takeaway on the stories as events unfold in real time.
