Julie Chen Will Leave The Talk: Report

Latest

Julie Chen is really going above and beyond in defending her husband/disgraced former CBS head Les Moonves, with Page Six reporting that she intends to leave her job as a co-host at The Talk in a messed up act of solidarity.

“She is definitely leaving ‘The Talk’ and will 100 percent stay with Les,” a source told the tabloid. God, what a terrible set of decisions. One more and she’ll have a hat trick!

The source doesn’t have a clear timeline for Chen—sorry, Chen Moonves’s departure—but insists it’s definitely on the horizon:

“When she’ll depart the show is unclear. It could be this week, or she could do it after ‘Big Brother,’ but she will be leaving. I wouldn’t be surprised if [CBS] asked her not to come back,” the source said. She also hosts “Big Brother,” which ends Sept. 26.

Chen announced that she’d be briefly away from The Talk “to be with my family,” skipping last week’s season premiere and raising suspicions that she does not, in fact, plan to return. Can you imagine anything worse than being cloistered in your home with your husband after he’s been accused of sexual assault by multiple women? What the hell do you talk about?? Hopefully his “unpaid advisor” gig will at least keep him occupied in a separate wing of the house, so Chen can take a good, hard look at her life choices.
