Michigan firmly in active storm track next 10 days, several Alberta Clippers coming

There is an active storm track that will be cutting across Michigan and southern Canada over the next 10 days. Some of these storm systems will bring wintry precipitation to Michigan.

The storm track will guide storm systems from Alberta in western Canada east-southeast across the Dakotas and into the Great Lakes. Not every one of these storms will bring its snow shield across Michigan. Two of the systems look like they could be widespread snowmakers for Lower Michigan.

Remember- about the biggest key for meaningful snow accumulation is for the storm center to track just south of your location. For the southern half of Lower Michigan to have accumulating snow, the storm center has to track across northern Indiana and northern Ohio.

Here is the forecast of this series of storms. You are looking at a week worth of storm systems from Wednesday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 8.
