Join the adventure as The Kirk Players proudly present “The Jungle Book” by Joseph Robinette based on “The Mowgli Stories” by Rudyard Kipling.
The story opens in a boarding school in Devon, England, where a young Rudyard and his classmates preparing stories for a writing contest. Through his writings, Rudyard takes us into the jungle, where we meet the mighty wolf Akela, leader of the wolves, and his loving mate and cubs who have just welcomed a “human cub,” named Mowgli. Meet Shere Khan, a fierce tiger who wants Mowgli for himself -- but as his tiger cub or as his meal? See the monkeys who run wild, the scholarly elephant Hathi, the teacher Baloo the bear and his panther assistant Bagheera.
All the wonderful animals of the magnificent jungle will keep you mesmerized Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29 at 2:00 p.m. Playing for one weekend only, this show is perfect for families of all ages!
