Trevor Moore, who’s the co-founder of the comedy sketch troupe turned TV program “The Whitest Kids U’ Know,” passed away at 41 reportedly from a tragic accident this past Friday evening.

His manager released an official statement on behalf of Moore’s family in the words of his wife Aimee Carlson saying, “We are devastated by the loss of my husband, best friend and the father of our son. He was known as a writer and comedian to millions, and yet to us he was simply the center of our whole world.”

“We don’t know how we’ll go on without him, but we’re thankful for the memories we do have that will stay with us forever,” Carlson continued. “We appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of grieving.”

Beyond serving as a founder and leader of the troupe, Moore was a comedian, actor, director, and writer of various other projects. He wrote, directed, and co-starred in film projects like “Miss Match” and the upcoming animated film “Mars.”

While he didn’t have many film credits to his name, his presence was definitely well known on TV. The show version of “The Whitest Kids U’ Know” brought him to prominence and aired on Fuse then IFC from 2007-2011.

He went on to write and direct the Disney XD series “Walk the Prank,” a show about four kids who prank unaware individuals. His relationship with Disney continued as he wrote and executive produced the interactive Disney show “Just Roll with It” where the audience chooses what the actors do next.

Alongside “Just Roll with It,” his own series “The Trevor Moore Show” were his latest TV projects. “Trevor Moore Talk Show” aired on Comedy Central from 2019-2021 for two seasons. The network tweeted a statement, “Trevor Moore was an incredible talent and a vital member of the Comedy Central family. We will miss him dearly.”
