Hosted by Pasadena Heritage, the biennial event featured music, dancing, a vintage car display, free children’s activities and food.
Money raised at the event helps preserve the bridge, which was built in 1912 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The American Society of Civil Engineers has designated it a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.

Pasadena Heritage first held the bridge party 41 years ago to highlight the need for its repair. The span has been seismically upgraded and restored to its original beaux arts grandeur and the event has become one of the most popular summer happenings in the city.
