Ben Stein Likens Mitch McConnell Confrontation to ‘Brownshirts in the Early Days of the Nazi Party’

In an interview with TMZ, economist, actor and former presidential speechwriter Ben Stein reacted to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell being berated while out to eat at Havana Rumba in Louisville over the weekend.

Stein said the incident was “disgusting” and then compared it to the brownshirts of the early Nazi days.

“Disgusting mob rule,” Stein stated. “Antifa is becoming like the brownshirts in the early days of the Nazi Party. Very, very disgusting, shocking behavior — stunningly horrible.”

He added, “Anybody using violence or threats of violence or any kind of sudden action to deny people of their rights or their peace of mind is disgusting.”

The TMZ reporter pushed back, saying the people were trying to hold McConnell “accountable” when they took the Republican’s food away from him.

Stein quipped, “This is exactly how the Nazi Party started out.”
