Burglary nets ‘multiple firearms’ and jewelry, state police say

A burglary that was reported Thursday afternoon in Washington Township, Lehigh County, resulted in the loss of “multiple firearms” and jewelry, Pennsylvania State Police report.

The home was hit before 5:06 p.m. in the 2800 block of Avery Road, police said. The victims are 65 and 66 years old, police said.

The burglar or burglars forced their way in and ransacked the home, police said.

No one is in custody.
