Trump tweets photos of Pelosi’s ‘unhinged meltdown’ at Syria meeting

President Trump on Wednesday claimed in a series of tweets that it was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, not him, who suffered a “meltdown!” at an earlier White House meeting on Syria.

Trump sent out three tweets with photos from the gathering, blasting Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer, who stormed out of the meeting and claimed the president called Pelosi “a third-rate politician.”

In the first photo shared by Trump, which focuses in on the two lawmakers, the president wrote, “The Do Nothing Democrats, Pelosi and Schumer stormed out of the Cabinet Room!”

That post was followed six minutes later with a shot of Pelosi on her feet, pointing at Trump, in what appears to be a heated exchange between the two.

Trump described the scene as “Nervous Nancy’s unhinged meltdown!”

The president finished his tweetstorm with a photo that shows two empty seats designated for Pelosi and Schumer.

“The Do Nothing Democrats, Pelosi and Schumer stormed out of the Cabinet Room!” Trump wrote.

Pelosi earlier Wednesday used the exact same wording to describe Trump’s behavior at the meeting, which involved other top administration officials and leading lawmakers.

“What we witnessed on the part of the president was a meltdown, sad to say,” Pelosi told reporters after leaving.

“I pray for the president all the time, and I tell him that — I pray for his safety and that of his family. Now, we have to pray for his health — because this was a very serious meltdown on the part of the president,” she said later on Capitol Hill.

Schumer called the exchange between Trump and Pelosi “insulting.”

“She kept her cool completely. But he called her a third-rate politician. He said that there are Communists involved and you guys might like that,” he said.

After Trump posted the pictures to his Twitter feed, Pelosi trolled him by making the image of her pointing at the president the image at the top of her official Twitter account.
