Circa, the new casino under construction on the Fremont Street Experience, plans to be an adults-only experience, open only to those 21 and older. When it opens its first five floors in late October, it becomes the first casino and resort to ban underage visitors.

On June 19, the resort topped out construction on its 458 foot tall building that plans to feature five new restaurants, a sports book with room for 1,000 people, and a year-round pool with six temperature-controlled pools, two spas, and super cabanas, which can host up to 50 guests, as well as a massive screen that will broadcast sporting events on the resort’s fifth floor.

CEO and developer Derek Stevens, who also owns the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate, says four of the resort’s restaurants and the sports book, as well as the two-story casino with 1,350 slot machines and 49 table games, will debut in Oct. 28.

The remainder of the hotel, including its 777 hotel rooms and suites, opens Dec. 28 and started taking reservations on Wednesday. Steelman Partners and Circa’s director of design and architecture Alice O’Keefe designed the tapered 71-degree tower. Rooms offer views of the Las Vegas skyline, surrounding mountains, or the resort’s pool amphitheater.

“From the beginning, I envisioned Circa to be a resort that pays homage to Las Vegas’ vibrant past while introducing bold, modern elements; this will certainly shine through in our room and suite collection,” Stevens says in a press statement. “Vintage details are combined with high-tech amenities to create an experience that’s uniquely Circa.”

For example, a digital tablet in rooms offer guests restaurant menus, reservations for Circa’s sportsbook and pool, and access to the room’s light settings. For a touch of vintage, DAC Art Consulting curated artwork from Jelaine Faunce, Deidra Wilson, Schinn Loong, Sarah Scherf, and Adolfo Gonzalez with Yesco.
