CHICAGO, IL — A Logan Square woman died after emergency workers rescued her when her head became stuck in a wrought iron fence last week, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Chicago police detectives are investigating how Linda Bringman, 64, ended up trapped between the metal fence posts on the North Side, but they are treating the case as noncriminal, the report stated. Bringman's autopsy is set for Tuesday, the report added.

Bringman was discovered by paramedics at around 12:12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, with her face down and her head caught in a 3-foot to 5-foot fence near PNC Bank, 1640 W. Fullerton Ave., the report stated. Once she was pulled out from between the posts, Bringman was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was in critical condition, the report added. She was pronounced dead at about 11:25 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27, according to the Sun-Times.

It was unclear what type of injuries Bringman had sustained when she was hospitalized, the report added.
