Triple Shooting In Newark Kills Man, Wounds 2 Others: Prosecutors

NEWARK, NJ — A triple shooting in Newark claimed the life of a 22-year-old man and injured two others on Wednesday, authorities said.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the shooting took place at 4:41 p.m. on the 900-block of 18th Avenue. Emergency responders transported three male victims to University Hospital.

Jumar T. Miranda, 22, of Newark, was pronounced dead at 5:33 p.m. A second victim is in critical condition and a third is in stable condition, authorities said Thursday.
