Imagine Dragons is bringing its biggest North American headlining tour ever to the Bay Area this fall.

The Grammy-winning band’s stop at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View is scheduled for Oct. 20, two days before its “Loom” tour wraps up at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Named after the pop rock group’s upcoming studio album, due out June 28, the “Loom” tour is expected to kick off on July 30 in Camden, N.J.

General ticket sales for the local date begin at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26.

Imagine Dragons’ forthcoming nine-track album is anchored by the energetic lead single “Eyes Closed” and is billed as the “pinnacle of their artistic journey of self-discovery” and its “best body of work,” according to the band’s official website. The new material follows the group’s two-album “Mercury” project, the final part of which was released in 2022.

“Working on this record was a rollercoaster,” Imagine Dragons’ frontman Dan Reynolds said in an Instagram post. “Some days the songs came from a place of sadness and heartache and others joy and jubilance. Loneliness. Searching. Wanting. Anger. Love.”

The “Radioactive” band performed at BottleRock Napa Valley in 2019 and last played the Bay Area in September 2022 as part of its “Mercury” tour.
