Kate Middleton isn’t afraid to re-wear one of her most-loved articles of clothing.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, stepped out at an event honoring Sir David Attenborough on Thursday morning wearing a blue coat dress by Alexander McQueen that will be familiar to fans of her royal wardrobe. Prince William joined his wife at the naming ceremony of the RRS Sir David Attenborough, a polar research ship, in Birkenhead.
Middleton has stepped out in the cerulean jacket many times before, as far back as 2014. In fact, in April 2014 she wore it to a WW1 commemorative and Flying Day, and re-wore it a few months later in June to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Kate wore the look a third time at the 75th anniversary of the RAF Air Cadets in February 2016. For the most recent nautical event, she paired the staple with an Asprey clutch, navy heels and diamond earrings.
While Kate has been known to recycle decade-old boots, favorite jackets and other special pieces, her sister-in-law Meghan Markle has also been making headlines in the past week while on her royal tour of Africa for re-using multiple outfits that she’s previously worn in public.
Seems that stylish sustainability is a shared royal tradition.
