Lance Bass claims Britney Spears flaked on meeting his kids: ‘It’s very strange’

Lance Bass claims Britney Spears’ team contacted him so she could meet his twins, only to never hear from them again.

“She has reached out through her people, wanting to meet the kids and all that,” the *NSYNC alum said on his iHeartRadio podcast, “Frosted Tips,” Monday while interviewing music manager Johnny Wright.

However, Bass, 44, alleged that the “Toxic” singer, 41, flaked on him when her handlers put a “stop” to the meeting.

“You have to talk through people,” he shared of communicating with Spears. “It’s very strange.”

The former boy band member became a father in October 2021 when he and his husband, Michael Turchin, welcomed son Alexander and daughter Violet via surrogate.

Spears was still under a conservatorship at the time.

Bass admitted he has no insight into how the “Gimme More” singer is doing these days, but he hopes she will be back onstage in the future despite rumblings that she is done performing.

“I don’t know what to believe because I don’t know how she is,” he said. “I mean, maybe she is completely over performing, but I just know how much she loves it, and I know she’s a competitive person also, so I can’t imagine her never performing again.”

In May, Page Six exclusively reported that Spears will most likely never go on tour again.

“Britney has trauma from touring,” an insider told us. “For so many years, she was handed grueling itineraries and made to perform — even before her conservatorship.”

The source added that Spears’ “breaking point” occurred in 2018 when her Las Vegas residency ended and then her team decided to “turn it into an international tour” with over 30 shows across the US and Europe.

“She desperately needed a break after four years in Vegas and didn’t get one. And then they had the nerve to book a second Vegas residency right after,” our insider shared.

But her second residency never happened, as the pop princess’ father and then-conservator, Jamie Spears, sent her to a mental health facility just weeks before its scheduled start date in 2019.

Two years later, Britney’s 13-year conservatorship was terminated, and she took back control of her personal, medical and financial affairs.

After regaining her freedom, the Grammy winner married longtime partner Sam Asghari, released her hit song “Hold Me Closer” with Elton John and signed a $15 million deal for an upcoming memoir.

However, Britney’s family turmoil has continued, as her two sons, Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline, did not attend her June 2022 wedding to Asghari.

The “Crossroads” star recently extended an olive branch to her estranged kids via social media, first by sharing a throwback photo of Jayden and then gushing over Preston amid Federline’s plan to move to Hawaii with the teens.

Britney’s attorney said last week that his client “will not interfere with and consents to” Preston and Jayden leaving California.
