WILMINGTON, MA — It wasn't just the erratic operation that tipped drivers and Wilmington police off that there was something wrong with a driver of a gray Range Rover Friday night. It was the gas nozzle hanging out of the SUV's gas tank and driving along the road behind it. Wilmington police said in a Facebook post Monday they arrested a 24-year-old woman from Hudson, New Hampshire, and charged her with operating under the influence of liquor and an open container violation.

"In addition to her inability to stay in her own traffic lane, there was something else about her vehicle caught other motorists attention," the department said on its Facebook page. "We were able to return the gas nozzle to it's rightful owner."

Wilmington police did not release the name of the woman and the incident is not listed in the department's public police log. Patch has asked Wilmington police for more details on the incident and will update this story if we hear back from them.
