New Winter Village In Alexandria Opens This Week

The Winter Village will open for the first year at Cameron Run Regional Park.

ALEXANDRIA, VA —Cameron Run Regional Park, a waterpark by summer, will become a winter wonderland for the first year ever. The Ice & Lights Winter Village opens Friday, Nov. 15 and will run through Jan. 5, 2020.

The Winter Village includes an ice skating rink, illuminated photo opps, other winter displays, music, food, heated igloos, games and more. Among the display highlights are a 100-foot RGB Lighted Tunnel, lit trees, 20-foot walk-through tree, wreath photo opp, giant stars and giant snowflakes. Guests can also shop at the Bling & Things shop, enjoy pizza, donuts and other food at Slice & Ice, and make s'mores at the fire pits.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly. From Jan. 6 to Feb. 29, the Winter Village will be closed while the ice skating rink will remain open Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Winter Village admission is $5 and free for kids under 2. Ice skating costs $8 and skate rentals are $4.
