Woman crushed by large driftwood log
A woman was seriously injured March 23 on the North Oregon coast and airlifted to a Portland hospital in a sneaker wave incident, Nehalem Bay Fire and Rescue said Sunday.
The woman was sitting on the log when the sneaker wave hit, the department said on its Facebook page.
“NEVER turn your back on the ocean,” the department said.
