Dewayne Dedmon, Jabari Parker swapped in Kings-Hawks trade

Another disgruntled player had his trade request answered Wednesday night ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline when the Kings sent Dewayne Dedmon and two second-round picks to the Hawks for Jabari Parker and Alex Len, according to ESPN.

Dedmon, a backup center in the first year of a three-year, $40 million deal, said in late December he wanted to be traded and go “somewhere where my talents are appreciated.” The 30-year-old played the last two seasons for the Hawks.

Parker, the No. 2-overall pick in 2014, is averaging 15 points and six rebounds per game, but has been out since Jan. 3 with a right shoulder impingement.

Earlier, the Grizzlies agreed to trade Andre Iguodala to the Heat, where the veteran wing will sign a two-year, $30 million extension, ESPN and The Athletic reported. The second year of the extension is a team option, according to the reports.
