ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE SUSPENDED ORTHODOX HOLY THURSDAY, ORTHODOX GOOD FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FOR PASSOVER

Sorry to say that subway fares go up Sunday for most riders following the toll increase on MTA bridges and tunnels March 31. Here’s the skinny:

You no longer get a 5% bonus for buying multiple rides on your MetroCard; the monthly card is now $127, and the weekly $33. If you have an unlimited card that you haven’t activated, you can do so by April 29 at the old rate. Higher LIRR and Metro-North rates also go in effect today.

The Yankees play the Royals 1 p.m. Sunday at Yankee Stadium, and then NYC Football Club plays Chicago Wednesday 7 p.m., and Orlando Saturday 1 p.m.

Easter Sunday Mass at St. Pat’s will close Fifth Ave. between 57th and 48th Sts. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Manhattan Bridge’s Manhattan-bound lower roadway is closed all-day Sunday.

The Mets are back in town with 7 p.m. games against the Phillies Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and the Brewers Friday and Saturday at Citi Field. If you want to be on time to boo Bryce Harper as he gets his first Flushing pitch as a Phillie, take the 7 train. Drivers leaving the game, be cautious on the southbound Van Wyck’s Exit 7 to the Jackie Robinson because work begins there Tuesday. Exit 8 is still closed there.

Taylor Swift and Khalid will be performing Tuesday night at the Time 100 Gala at Jazz at Lincoln Center near Columbus Circle so definitely avoid the media trucks near 59th St. and Broadway. Lincoln Center has another gala the same night.

The Nets and 76ers, if necessary, will continue their playoff series at Barclays Center Thursday night.

Mailbag:

Dear Gridlock Sam,

I moved to New Jersey from New York and I can’t get a NJ license plate because of mistaken identity. I can’t turn in my NY plates and I’m carrying two insurance policies. A guy with a name and birth date almost exactly the same as mine has a block on his Georgia license because of a Connecticut ticket, and the three states are giving me the runaround. Can you help?

Jerome, NJ

Dear Jerome,

Wow, this is one for the bureaucratic record books! I contacted the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission and they told me they would help you clear this up. P.S., I was happy to hear you finally did get your NJ plate.
