Madonna, 64, and Sam Smith, 31, team up for provocative new song VULGAR filled with sexually aggressive and crass lyrics: 'Speak b**** and say our f***ing names'

Madonna and Sam Smith have teamed up on provocative new pop song with crass and sexually aggressive lyrics, appropriately titled Vulgar.

The Queen of Pop, 64, and the Unholy singer, 31 – who is nonbinary and uses gender neutral pronouns – teamed up to release the boundary-pushing new song on Friday.

Rather than singing, Madonna mainly uses spoken word on the track, saying, 'Boy, get down on your knees because I am Madonna/ If you f**k with Sam tonight, you’re f**king with me / So watch what you say or I’ll split your banana.'

Then there is the following lyric which is reminiscent of Taylor Swift's Karma: 'Vulgar is beautiful, filthy, and gorgeous/ Vulgar will make you dance, don't need a chorus/ Say we're ridiculous, we'll just go harder / Mad and meticulous, Sam and Madonna.'

Other lyrics read: 'Look like I'm dressed to kill, love how I make me feel / All black in stripper heels, move like Madonna / Rich like I'm in the Louvre, got nothin' left to prove /You know you're beautiful when they call you vulgar/ I do what I wanna, I go when I gotta / I'm sexy and I feel...Vulgar.'

On Friday Sam wrote on Instagram: ' VULGAR is a song that is very special to me.

'Me, the QUEEN, and a group of some of the most talented people I know, got in the studio the day after the Grammys and we created this piece of music.

'The creativity was pure and the energy was alive. I’m so excited to share this with you sailors!! VULGAR IS BEAUTIFUL!! Out everywhere now.

'Love you @madonna,' he finished.

Smith has already praised the collaboration.

'Vulgar is one of the most exciting songs I've been a part of,' Sam told Zane Lowe on New Music Daily on Apple Music 1.

The hitmakers headed into the studio to record the new song the day after the Vogue singer - who teased a clip of the new song on June 5 - presented them with their Grammy Award.

'It was written with Madonna and an amazing group of people, the Fire on Fire singer continued.

'The day after the Grammys, we all got in the studio and just had an amazing evening creating and writing and expressing, they added.

'And, of course, it was the biggest dream come true for me to get to work with and perform and sing with the Queen of Pop. I am so honored and excited about this song and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do.'

Sam's alliance with Madonna appears to be a match made in heaven or hell, depending on who's listening, since the British hitmaker has been roiling some fans with religious imagery.

The hotly anticipated release comes nearly four months after Sam sparked a 'satanic' panic with their jaw-dropping performance at the Grammys in February.

Singing alongside collaborator Kim Petras, the Grammy-winning artist donned devil headgear in the horror movie-inspired performance, outraging conservatives like Ted Cruz with their 'demonic' themes.

Many viewers vented their frustrations on Twitter after Sam's controversial Grammys performance, with one person tweeting: 'I know we on the right probably use the word satanic too often but this performance from Sam Smith is literally a tribute to Satan.'

Another added: 'You don't have to be super religious to be disturbed by that Sam Smith devil-worshiping performance.'

'That devil worshipping performance was trash,' wrote a third critic. 'And it's been done so many times. I'm disappointed af.'

The backlash didn't hold back Sam in the slightest, as they have continued to use religious imagery throughout their Gloria Tour.

But the collaboration with Madonna is a much-needed bright spot for the Stay With Me hitmaker, as they were recently forced to cancel the rest of their UK shows due to vocal cord issues.

Fans were left in the dark after Sam suddenly cancelled their concert at the AO Arena in Manchester after just a few songs last Wednesday.

The singer soon issued a statement, insisting they could not go on after noticing 'something was really wrong' with their voice.

Sam has now revealed they could suffer permanent damage to their voice if they don't go on complete vocal rest.

Rehearsals began the first week of April for Madge's 12th concert extravaganza, which marks her first greatest hits tour and the first time she's not promoting a specific studio album.

The tour kicks off on July 15 with a sold-out Vancouver show, before making its way south through the West Coast of the United States.

She'll spend October through early December moving through Europe, before heading back to North America.
