Nashua Man Killed, Wilmington Man Injured In Woburn Crash
The 72-year-old Nashua man was driving a Honda Accord when he veered over the centerline in Woburn and into a Cadillac XTS, police said.
WOBURN, MA — A 72-year-old man from Nashua, New Hampshire, was killed and a 58-year-old Wilmington man was hospitalized following a crash on Route 3A in Woburn Wednesday morning. The Wilmington man was expected to survive. The identities of the two men were not given in a joint statement by Woburn Police Chief Robert Rufo and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Police said they believe the 72-year-old Nashua man was driving a 2007 Honda Accord when he veered over the centerline and into a Cadillac XTS driven by the Wilmington man. The Nashua man was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
After the crash, a truck driver trying to turn around to avoid the backup knocked down a utility pole, causing a power outage in the area. Eversource restored power in the overnight hours to most of the affected homes.
