United States snowboarder Chloe Kim lived up to the hype and then some in the Women’s halfpipe final on Tuesday.

The 17-year-old sensation didn’t waste any time putting the competition away when she landed a 1080 and a 720 in her very first run down the pipe to score a 93.75 to start things off.

The runs that followed were nothing more than victory laps, but she made sure to enjoy those too on her way to her first Gold Medal at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. (SLIDESHOW: Step Aside, Lindsey Vonn. All Eyes Are On This Skier At The Winter Olympics)

Kim’s talent was on full display in the event, as was her ability to put her nerves aside and have fun competing for her country. She even took a second to hilariously fire off a tweet the middle of the competition.

“Wish I finished my breakfast sandwich but my stubborn self decided not to and now I’m getting hangry,” the young snowboarder wrote.

Clearly she performs well when she’s hangry.
