Emoni Bates scores 36 to lead Lincoln past Jackson

LINCOLN -- For the second time in four days, Ypsilanti Lincoln’s Emoni Bates scored 36 points Thursday to lead the Railsplitters past visiting Jackson 83-68.

The top-ranked freshman in the country, according to many recruiting services, also scored 36 Monday to help Lincoln (16-4, 13-1 Southeastern Conference White Division) clinch its first league title in more than decade with a 73-65 victory over the Vikings (14-5, 10-4).

On Thursday, senior Amari Frye added 12 points, while senior Jalen Fisher scored 11 to help the Railsplitters overcome a 40-32 deficit.

Tyshan Kelley led Jackson with 23 points, while Micah Cretsinger scored 10.
