Boxer shorts emerged as a surprise trend from the spring/summer 2022 shows, and now the fashion set is taking their boxers to the beach. Forget kaftans or sarongs, louche matching sets are fast becoming a holiday staple of choice for summer 2022. Even more than traditional beach cover-ups, the boxer-bralette combo has effortless appeal – it’s the sartorial equivalent of tousled, just got out of bed hair.
Are you preparing to jet off this summer? Borrow from Bella Hadid, who was snapped sunbathing in sweet cornflower-blue vintage separates from Prada. Looking as though she had stepped straight out of a Slim Aarons photograph, the supermodel posted pictures of her morning dip on Instagram, wearing a flattering underwired bralette and loose-fitting boxers. (She even kept them on to swim.)
These co-ords can work for a city break, too.
