Amgen, Janssen, and Sanofi are in talks to acquire Horizon Therapeutics, the Irish drugmaker confirmed Tuesday.
Horizon confirmed the discussions following a report in the Wall Street Journal, adding that the conversations were “highly preliminary.”
Horizon currently has a market cap of nearly $18 billion. If any M&A offers are made, it would likely make for the largest deal this year, topping Pfizer’s $11.6 billion acquisition of Biohaven.
