Jamal Adams picks perfect time to ‘clown’ Mike Francesa over WFAN tirade

Three weeks later, Jamal Adams offered a response to Mike Francesa’s scathing criticism.

“🤡 TALK,” Adams wrote Thursday, quote-tweeting a clip of Francesa’s rip job.

Francesa went hard at the Pro Bowl safety after over Adams’ emotional response to the Jets listening to trade offers for him. Adams compared himself to Tom Brady and Aaron Donald in terms of value to his team, which Francesa dismissed, calling Adams a “losing player” and a “child” because Adams wouldn’t talk to general manager Joe Douglas and coach Adam Gase about his frustration with nearly being moved.

“Now he’s going to compare himself to the top players in the league?” Francesa said. “It’s a farce. It’s really comical. He’s accomplished nothing.”

Since those comments, Adams has played like a man on a mission, leading the Jets to consecutive wins over the Giants and Redskins, and now has a team-leading six sacks. A second straight Pro Bowl seems likely for the third-year pro from LSU. It’s uncertain when Adams first heard Francesa’s rips of him, but maybe they provided motivation.
