Tread lightly: There’s a new trailer out for the “Breaking Bad” movie.
Fans have been Jonesing for details on “El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie,” which will stream on Netflix on Oct. 11. The top-secret sequel to the Emmy-winning meth drama will also hit select theaters the same day it drops on Netflix.
On Sunday, Netflix released the trailer for the film, giving viewers an ominous peek at Aaron Paul, as a breathless and terrified Jesse Pinkman.
In the trailer, Pinkman is seen clutching the wheel of his El Camino, listening to news of his accomplice Walter White’s (Bryan Cranston in the original series) massacre on the radio, which was depicted in the final scene of the Emmy-winning show that ended in 2013.
“El Camino” will feature 10 characters from the series, including one played by an undisclosed “key cast member” who, according to The Hollywood Reporter, used “a private jet to shuttle in and out of Albuquerque without notice.”
The two-hour film, directed by Vince Gilligan, picks up after Pinkman goes on the lam in the show’s finale. Gilligan has been famously hush-hush about the project, telling The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t want to open my Christmas presents a week and a half before Christmas.”
However, he recently revealed in an interview with The Reporter that Matt Jones and Charles Baker will be reprising their roles as Badger and Skinny Pete — the Porthos and Athos of Pinkman’s merry band of meth-slinging musketeers.
Netflix freaked fans out on Sunday with an excerpt from the trailer in a Tweet.
