Bear crashes through Colorado home ‘like the Kool-Aid Man’

Colorado authorities say a bear broke into a home and crashed “like the Kool-Aid Man” through a wall to escape.

The beast tore through a house in Estes Park where it left a lasting impact over the weekend, according to the Estes Park Police Department.

“The bear seemed to have been attracted to the scent of refuse,” police said Saturday. “Upon officer’s arrival, said bear forcibly breached a hole in the wall like the ‘Kool-Aid Man’ and made its escape.”

It’s unclear how the bear entered the home — but authorities warned others to lock all windows and doors to prevent animal attacks.

“Bears are extremely smart, which means we all have to be too,” police said. “Sometimes it’s literally as easy as a push of a button or flick of a lock.”
