LONG BEACH, NY — Longtime radio personality Bernard McGuirk will be laid to rest this week on Long Island.
McGuirk, one-half of the "Bernie and Sid In the Morning" show on WABC Radio, with co-host Sid Rosenberg, died Thursday after battling prostate cancer. He was 64.
The funeral for McGuirk, who lived in Long Beach, will take place on Tuesday at St. Ignatius Martyr Roman Catholic. His final resting place is St. Patrick's Cemetery in Huntington.
A fixture in New York radio since the 1980s, McGuirk is best known as executive producer of Don Imus' nationally syndicated show. He would also often appear on Fox News.
There are two visitation sessions at Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home in Island Park, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday.
McGuirk and Rosenberg took over mornings on WABC in 2018.
