A fatal crash has closed Highway 1 near Bridal Falls on Saturday.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. east of Bridal Falls close to Herrling Island, according to Drive BC.
Lower Mainland RCMP confirm a person in a westbound vehicle died after being struck by an eastbound vehicle.

The highway is shut down in both directions as crews investigate.
BC Emergency Health Services said two patients were taken to hospital by air ambulance in critical condition.
Reports say traffic in the area has come to a standstill.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
Drive BC says the road is expected to fully reopen between 7-9 p.m.
