(WWLP) – According to Governor Charlie Baker’s Twitter account, the state is launching #MaskUpMA to remind people to continue wearing masks in public to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The campaign will underscore the importance of wearing masks across multiple channels including video testimonials on social media, a new PSA, and on mass.gov.
In a news conference Friday, Governor Baker spoke to the importance of this initiative.
We have been pleased that since then the people of Massachusetts have done their part by wearing face coverings, but if we want to prevent clusters from popping up in the future, we need to ensure that everyone continues to do their part by wearing masks in public or when they cannot socially distance.
