Already our one stop shop for all things eco friendly (and damn good) Lush have just extended their stellar range by introducing a collection of make up brushes.
Rather than churning out factory made brushes in their masses, they have decided to go against the grain, creating hand crafted ones, designed by their in-house make up artist.
Just like the rest of Lush's goods, the brushes will be comprised of 100% vegan materials: recycled aluminium, biodegradable, sustainable sourced wood with a cellulose-based lacquer and vegan glue to hold the bristles (phew) - oh, and last but not least, they'll be cruelty-free, obvs.
Speaking about the new range, Head Makeup Artist Meg Edwards said, “We tried and tested an array of different brushes and synthetic fibres until we had a perfect collection. We’re confident the range of brushes will deliver professional results. They’re easy to use and they have a luxurious, premium feel!”
Anyone who knows Lush, knows that they don't tend to keep their products looking low key - their array of bath bombs are a miss match of multicolours and glitter and they love a whacky print or two.
So, naturally, we expected the brushes to look like something out of a unicorn themed five year old's party. Imagine our surprise then, when we first laid eyes on their simple, sleek, pared-down design. Each one is comprised of a black handle and a gold top - no bright colours or glitter in sight. Lets just say we're extremely pumped to get these onto our dressing table.
