“Toy Story” met “The Shining” in a very bizarre incident in Madison, Wisc., that brought police to the home of an ax-wielding action figure enthusiast Sunday.
A 34-year-old man was taken into custody after bludgeoning his TV and smashing a laptop before he “chopped off both side mirrors and then struck the windshield” of the family’s car, according to KARE 11 in Wisconsin. The man was reportedly upset because he believed his 46-year-old wife had damaged “prized property,” which cops said included action figures.
Madison police did not release the man’s name, saying only that he told them “he had too much to drink and overreacted about his action figures,”according to police chief Mike Koval’s report.
“When officers arrived, they found the ax embedded in the windshield of the car,” Koval said.
The ax man, who called police to turn himself in, was arrested for disorderly conduct and more than $5,000 in property damage. He was taken into custody without incident.
