Hiring underway for new Flint arcade bar

New arcade bar to open in Flint

A new arcade bar, The Eberson, is set to open by February 2019 next to the Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint. The business is being opened by couple Spencer Ruegsegger and Kristy Bearse.

FLINT, MI -- A new arcade bar in downtown Flint is now hiring for multiple openings.

The Eberson, located at the corner of Second Street and Brush Alley, is looking for bartenders, servers and service assistants.

The business will feature original vintage stand-up arcade games, pinball, darts, shuffleboard, as well as tabletop, card games and a full bar with mixed drinks, craft cocktails, domestic beer, craft beer and a small menu of rotating snacks and finger foods.

Spencer Ruegsegger, who with fiancee Kristy Bearse is set to open The Eberson, said they are hiring for between seven and 10 positions and discussed the potential opening time frame for the business named in honor of John Eberson, the original architect of the Capitol Theatre.

“While we were hoping for the end of February, it’s looking like mid to late March,” he noted.

The goal of the venture is to “create an environment where anyone can come in, be comfortable, have drinks and enjoy themselves,” Ruegsegger previously said.

Anyone interested in one of the positions is asked to visit The Eberson website, theeberson.com, to apply and attach their resume.
