The Lagoon Summer Concert Series will be back at the west lawn of the Lory Student Center at CSU in Fort Collins starting on Wednesday. Old-school funk band The Jakarta Band will kick off the series.

All of the concerts will take place on the west lawn of the Lory Student Center at CSU and run from 6-8:30 p.m.

This Denver-based band, which crosses into R&B, disco and hip-hop as well as soul, makes music with bass, sax, trumpet, keyboard, trombone, and other instruments.

Opening for The Jakarta Band is Talia Lima, a local youth performer who is opening as a result of a partnership between the series and the Little Kids Rock music education program. During each week of the series, a different performer or group from Little Kids Rock will take the stage at 6 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy food from various food trucks at each concert. The food truck lineup on

Coffee Truck, and Repicci’s Italian Ice and Gelato.
