CORVALLIS – No. 7 Oregon State closed out a five-game home stand Thursday with its easiest win this season, a 95-45 decision over Southern Utah in front of Gill Coliseum crowd of 9,301 during the Beavers’ annual Beyond The Classroom game.
Six OSU players scored in double figures, led by Taylor Jones with 18 points. Mikayla Pivec had 10 points and 18 rebounds. It was the third time during Pivec’s career that she has had at least 18 rebounds. Kat Tudor and Destiny Slocum scored 14 points each for Oregon State (5-0).
OSU quickly put away Southern Utah (3-2). The Beavers scored the game’s first 13 points, and led 47-22 at halftime.
Led by Pivec, the Beavers out-rebounded Southern Utah 56-27. OSU shot 12 of 25 from 3-point range. Tudor, in her third game back since recovering from ACL surgery in January, hit 4 of 6 from behind the arc.
