Overnight Closures On I-880 Planned By Caltrans

ALAMEDA, CA — Caltrans will close multiple lanes on Interstate Highway 880 in Oakland for repaving overnight beginning Monday, the agency said in a news release.

Crews will begin pavement rehabilitation work between 23rd and 29th avenues on northbound and southbound Highway 880 in Oakland and are scheduled to finish in January 2020, according to Caltrans.

Residents should prepare for construction noise associated with grinding, paving, construction of barriers, and installation of electrical lighting, according to Caltrans.

Caltrans expects to close ramps from 23rd Avenue and 29th Avenue intermittently.

The work will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Fridays through Saturdays.
