Driver injured in rollover crash that left car on its roof on Route 31

A driver was injured Sunday night after she crashed into a tree and her car rolled over onto its roof in Warren County, police said.

Kimberly Toussaint, of the 500 block of Water Street in Belvidere, was driving north on Route 31 in Mansfield Township, near the border with Washington Township.

Township police said the 27-year-old Toussaint was entering a curve when she drove over the center line, across the opposing lane of traffic and off the road.

Toussaint hit a tree and the car rolled over, landing on its roof on the road in the southbound lane, police said.

Toussaint was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by first responders, according to emergency radio reports.

Toussaint was injured, and responders initially asked for a medical helicopter, but that was canceled due to the weather. She was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, police said.

Medical personnel reported smelling alcohol on Toussaint’s breath, police said. The crash is still under investigation.
