PETA sells $150 ‘wool hurts’ sweater featuring bloody sheep

This Christmas sweater is baaa-rbaric.

Last week, PETA launched its 2019 “Howl-iday” items, including a $149.99 Wool Hurts Ugly Holiday Sweater. The limited-edition item says “wool hurts” in all caps above the PETA logo and features a large, 3-D bloodied sheep: Its mangled front torso sticks out from the front of the sweater, its rear from the back.

The sweater “puts the ugliness of the wool industry front and center,” reads the product description. It’s part of a larger anti-wool campaign by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that includes urging Forever 21 to stop selling clothing made of wool.

The sweater is available in one size and made in Germany using 100 percent acrylic yarn.

In addition to the sweater, PETA is also selling a vegan popcorn tin set ($35.99) and an “Eat No Turkey” T-shirt ($21.99) this holiday season.
