WFAN’s Mike Francesa throws support behind Donald Trump, dumps on Robert Mueller hearings

He got it right?

WFAN's host and noted Donald Trump supporter Mike Francesa took to Twitter to weigh in on Robert Mueller's Congressional hearings in Washington.

Mike Francesa hasn’t been shy about dishing out political hot takes to go along with his sports views.

Naturally, he wasn’t going to hold back when Special Counsel Robert Mueller appeared before two Congressional committees on Wednesday.

Francesa, a WFAN host, has voiced his support for President Donald Trump on multiple occasions, and he called Wednesday’s hearings a fool’s errand.

“Mueller hearing is a complete waste of time," Francesa tweeted. "Illustrates just how partisan and ineffective government is now. The proceedings are painful to watch.”

Mueller appeared before two separate House committees to discuss his investigation into whether Trump’s presidential campaign colluded with Russia.

Francesa tweeted about the president back in May in response to a New York Times report that said Trump’s businesses lost more than a billions dollars in a decade. That take came promptly at 12:22 a.m. Eastern on May 8.

“Here is the bottom line on President Trump,” Francesa said. “He may have lost money in private business, but he was able to win the biggest prize of all.”

During Wednesday’s hearings in Washington, President Trump’s lawyer, Jay Sekulow, issued a statement attacking Mueller.

“This morning’s testimony exposed the troubling deficiencies of the special counsel’s investigation. The testimony revealed that this probe was conducted by a small group of politically biased prosecutors who, as hard as they tried, we’re unable to establish either obstruction, conspiracy, or collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. It is also clear that the special counsel conducted his two-year investigation unimpeded. The American people understand that this issue is over. They also understand that the case is closed.”
