FZN Senior Austin Mayton recently signed to play baseball at Westminster College located in Fulton, Missouri. Mayton was a “jack-of-all-trades” for the Panthers last season playing in both the outfield and infield while also catching and pitching for the Panthers. His ability to play all over the field has led Westmister to be attracted to his unique skill-set. A player with vast experience in the sport, Mayton is also a member of the traveling select club – THZ Tribe. Last summer, Mayton batted .385 for the Tribe. An honor student, who sports an impressive 4.2 GPA, Mayton was placed on the GAC “All-Academic” team last spring.

Westminster, whose moniker is the Blue Jays, is a NCAA Division 3 institution that competes as a member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Last season, Westminster finished the year with a 17 – 15 overall record.
