1,000+ Tires Dumped In DC Park, Suspect Identified: Report
Workers reportedly had to spend hours cleaning up tires dumped illegally in a D.C. park recently.
WASHINGTON, DC -- Someone dumped more than 1,000 tires in a park in D.C. recently, and police reportedly have identified a suspect.
WAMU reports that the tires were dumped illegally near Ft. Dupont Park in Southeast D.C., and city workers had to spend hours cleaning up the mess.
Tommy Wells, director of the District Department of Energy and Environment, reportedly called it "one of the largest tire dumps I've ever seen."

Police have identified 56-year-old Deron McDonald of Alexandria, Va. as the suspect, the report adds.
