TEANECK, NJ — A 20-year-old Teaneck man was found bleeding from multiple stab wounds on Tuesday outside of an apartment complex in the township, Deputy Police Chief Andrew McGurr said.
A suspect charged in connection with the stabbing, 27-year-old Jacob Gibbs, is still at large, McGurr said.
Detectives are working to find Gibbs, as the victim is recovering from his injuries at the hospital, police said.
The victim was found outside of the One500 apartments at approximately 3:45 p.m. in Teaneck, and he was subsequently taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
Gibbs was charged with attempted murder, a first-degree crime; aggravated assault, a second-degree crime; possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime; and unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime.
Police searched Gibbs' home on Van Duyn Place early Wednesday, without success.
