Popular streaming service Netflix reportedly reached out to one of its clients who streamed the hit show “The Office” nonstop for days.

The account of what happened surfaced on Reddit a couple days ago from “King-Salamander.” The user wrote the following of how the situation went down:

A little late, so this might get buried. But one summer I was going through an episode of depression and I wasn’t working as I was on break from college and waiting until I moved back to my college town to start again. I ended up doing nothing but watching Netflix, and after I finished the office in something like 5 – 10 days, I don’t quite remember, I received an email from Netflix asking if I was okay. They had noticed that I had my account running non-stop for over a week and they wanted to check on me and make sure I was doing well since my viewing activities became so much more frequent than they used to be. Honestly made me feel better just knowing that someone, even a stranger working at a customer support agency, cared about my mental health.

Comment from discussion At least they care..

See, people are all worried about Netflix knowing our viewing habits, but I’m happy they do. They’re like a loving family member who’s checking in after a bad breakup. They see you’ve been streaming one of the greatest shows ever made, which is also a classic show when you need a little joy, and they reach out to find out what’s going on. Some might call it a bit creepy, but that’s what I call friendship.

The best part of this post is that the guy doesn’t even know how long he streamed it for. It was “something like 5 – 10 days.” That’s a pretty substantial gap of time. It’s not a great sign if five days went by and you hardly noticed. That’s not good at all.

Some people not have been happy with Netflix’s tweet about those constantly streaming “A Christmas Prince.”

I’m glad they’re watching out for us. They’re like Batman. A watchful protector for all of us addicted to streaming.
